Snake Removal
Here in South Carolina we have 38 different species of snakes, only 6 of which are venomous: pigmy rattle snake, eastern diamondback rattlesnake, canebrake (timber) rattle snake, cotton mouths, copperheads, and the illusive eastern coral snake.
Snakes play a key role in our environment by managing rodent populations by feeding on small mammals, birds, amphibians, and other reptiles. They are most active from early spring until mid fall but with our temperate climate, you can run into them year round.
Snakes can be a good thing to spot around your home, as long as they are properly identified and have no way of gaining access into your home. Thankfully, snakes usually shy away from people and clean up the unwanted rodents that can cause serious damage to your home. But, snakes should never be handled unless you are 100 percent sure you can identify it. That being said lets talk about when they need to be removed and what issues they can cause…
venomous snake bites to pets
potential bites to humans
leave unwanted sheds and excrements in crawl spaces or attics
Lots of people are scared to have them around their home
SNAKE TIP: If you come across a snake in your home please block off access to that room and keep him in there. Venomous snake calls take priority over all other calls because of the danger.
Thankfully, here at Mustards Wildlife Removal, we can handle your snake problem. After our inspection, we can walk you through reasons that the snake has taken residence in your home and give you a custom solution for sealing up your home so no more snakes can enter.
