Squirrel Removal
The most common squirrel that we run into in Charleston are Eastern Gray Squirrels. Eastern Gray Squirrels, as their names suggests, are gray in color, measure about 16 to 20 inches long as an adult, and weigh an average weight of 1 1/2 pounds. They are found as north as the Dakotas, south into Texas, and all the way up the east coast into Maine.
Their mating season is usually during the winter, typically December and January. A small population may have another mating season in June, depending on climate and food sources. Down here in the southeast, we see this secondary mating season a lot. Our relatively warm year round temperatures make for a perfect secondary mating season. So lets discuss Squirrels and the nuisance they can be on you and your home.
Why is this relevant? Babies? Do they break into your house to have babies?
