While Starlings usually build mansions of nest in peoples attics Ive personally seen them four foot wide by 3 foot high, a lot of work and a big clean up for such a small bird. Their nest are usually made up of similar items but slightly larger twigs and pieces of grasses. Starlings tend to associate their nests with cavities such as in attics, behind gutters, or anywhere that they are a little more hidden from the outside world.
